Scanning and photography
To get the best possible printing you need to get the best possible input (“rubbish in, rubbish out”). Scanning a photograph or print is only half the story. You need to colour correct for the final printing process, sharpening or defocusing the shot (depending on whether you are scanning already printed material) and convert to the correct colour mode for its final use. Wolfgang, our colour specialist, has many years of experience doing just such things. He spent many years operating a drum scanner under Hughes Lithographics and so knows how to extract the best results from a scan.
